Description

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has started the online application process for Class 6 Admission 2027–28 through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). Students seeking admission to Class VI in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across India can submit their applications online from 07 July 2026 to 31 July 2026. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are residential schools established by the Government of India to provide quality education to talented students, especially from rural areas. Admission is offered on the basis of performance in the JNV Selection Test conducted by NVS. The entrance examination for Summer Bound JNVs is scheduled to be held on 28 November 2026. Admit cards will be released online before the examination. Candidates who qualify in the entrance test and satisfy all eligibility conditions will be invited for document verification and final admission. Parents are advised to carefully read the official admission guidelines before submitting the application. Since there is no application fee, eligible students can complete the registration free of cost through the official NVS admission portal. Eligibility

Applicants must satisfy the following conditions: Must be studying or have passed Class 5 from a Government or Government-recognized school. The applicant should be a resident of the same district where admission is being sought. The application must be submitted for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya located in the candidate's district of residence. Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions mentioned in the official prospectus.
