JKSSB Class-IV (MTS) & Sanitation Worker Recruitment 2026 The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement Notification No. 09 of 2026 for the recruitment of Class-IV (Multi-Tasking Staff) and Sanitation Worker posts in various departments of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 2,863 vacancies are available under UT Cadre, Divisional Cadre and District Cadre. Eligible candidates who meet the prescribed educational qualification, age limit and Jammu & Kashmir domicile requirements can apply online through the official JKSSB website. The application dates have been revised through a corrigendum. The online application process will now start on 14 October 2026 and the last date to submit the application form and pay the application fee is 12 November 2026. JKSSB Class-IV Recruitment 2026 – Overview JKSSB Class-IV Vacancy 2026 The total 2,863 vacancies are distributed across different cadres: UT Cadre: 105 Posts Divisional Cadre – Jammu: 1,093 Posts Divisional Cadre – Kashmir: 897 Posts District Cadre: 768 Posts Total: 2,863 Posts The vacancies are available in various departments of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Note: The application dates were revised through the latest corrigendum issued by JKSSB.
Eligibility
JKSSB Class-IV Eligibility 2026 Candidates must fulfil the educational qualification, age limit and domicile requirements prescribed for the respective post. For Class-IV (MTS) posts, the prescribed qualification is within the notified Class-IV educational range. For Sanitation Worker posts, candidates must possess the educational qualification specified for the respective post in the official notification. Candidates must carefully check Annexure-A and the detailed eligibility conditions before applying. Jammu & Kashmir Domicile Requirement Candidates must satisfy the Jammu & Kashmir domicile requirement prescribed by JKSSB for this recruitment. Applicants should possess the required valid domicile certificate within the prescribed eligibility/cut-off requirements. JKSSB Class-IV Age Limit The applicable age limit and category-wise age relaxation will be as prescribed by JKSSB and the Government of Jammu & Kashmir. Selection Process
Selection will be based on the prescribed 1. objective-type written examination, 2. additional weightage criteria wherever applicable, and 3. document verification. The detailed selection criteria, examination pattern, marking scheme and weightage applicable to UT, Divisional and District Cadres should be checked in Advertisement Notification No. 09 of 2026.
Qualification
- Class-IV (MTS): Matriculation (10th Pass) to 10+2 Sanitation Worker: 8th Pass to 10+2 Candidates must also fulfil the prescribed Jammu & Kashmir domicile and other eligibility conditions.
