The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) have officially released the RRB Group D Application Status 2026 for candidates who submitted their online applications under Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) No. 09/2025. This application status allows applicants to verify whether their online application has been successfully accepted for the upcoming recruitment process or rejected due to any discrepancies. The application status is an important stage in the recruitment process because it confirms whether a candidate is eligible to appear for the Computer Based Test (CBT-I). Candidates whose applications have been accepted can proceed to the next stages, including downloading the Exam City Intimation Slip, Admit Card, and appearing in the examination scheduled from 03 August to 21 August 2026. Applicants can check their status by logging into the official RRB recruitment portal using their Registration Number and Password or Date of Birth. Once logged in, the portal displays the current status of the submitted application. If the application is accepted, candidates should continue preparing for the examination. If it has been rejected, the portal will also mention the specific reason for rejection. The Railway Recruitment Boards have advised candidates to verify their application status as early as possible and ensure that all login credentials, including their registration number and password, are readily available. Candidates should also keep checking the official website for further announcements regarding the release of the Exam City Intimation Slip and Admit Card. The Exam City Intimation Slip will be issued a few days before the examination to help candidates know the city where their examination center has been allotted. However, this slip is only meant for information purposes and cannot be used as an admit card. The actual e-Call Letter (Admit Card) will be released approximately four days before the examination date, and candidates must download it from the official RRB website. The RRB Group D recruitment drive aims to fill 22,195 Level-1 vacancies across various Railway zones in India. Selected candidates will be appointed to posts such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Assistant Pointsman, Assistant (Electrical), Assistant (Mechanical), Assistant (Signal & Telecommunication), Assistant (Operations), Assistant (Engineering), Hospital Assistant, and several other Level-1 positions in Indian Railways. The selection process consists of multiple stages, beginning with the Computer Based Test (CBT-I). Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), where they must demonstrate the required physical standards prescribed by the Railway Recruitment Boards. Those who successfully clear the PET will be invited for Document Verification (DV), followed by a Medical Examination to ensure they meet the medical fitness standards required for railway service. The final selection will be based on merit, document verification, and medical fitness. The CBT-I examination will include 100 objective-type questions covering Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs. Candidates will be given 90 minutes to complete the examination, and one-third of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official RRB website corresponding to their region for all recruitment-related updates. Important notifications regarding the Exam City Intimation Slip, Admit Card, Answer Key, Result, and subsequent stages of the recruitment process will be published only through the official Railway Recruitment Boards. All candidates whose applications have been accepted should continue their preparation according to the latest syllabus and exam pattern. They should also ensure that they carry a printed copy of their admit card, a valid photo identity proof, and any other documents specified in the examination instructions on the day of the CBT-I examination.
