UPESSC PRT Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026 has been announced by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) for candidates seeking government teaching jobs in Uttar Pradesh. Under Advertisement No. 05/2026, a total of 12,405 Assistant Teacher vacancies are available for Primary Teacher posts. The vacancy includes 11,508 Assistant Teacher posts in Urban Primary Schools under the Basic Education Department and 897 Assistant Teacher posts for affiliated primary schools under the Secondary Education Department. The UPESSC PRT online application process started on 16 September 2026. Eligible candidates can submit the UP Assistant Teacher online form through the UPESSC application portal up to 15 October 2026. The application correction window is scheduled up to 19 October 2026. The UPESSC PRT written examination is scheduled to be conducted on 03 and 04 December 2026. Eligibility
Candidates must satisfy the educational, teacher-training and Teacher Eligibility Test requirements prescribed for the particular Assistant Teacher post under UPESSC Advertisement No. 05/2026. For Assistant Teacher (Urban), candidates generally need a graduation qualification along with a recognised teacher-training qualification such as BTC/D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed, Special BTC or another qualification specified in the official notification, along with the required TET qualification. For Assistant Teacher (Affiliated Primary), candidates must meet the prescribed graduation, teacher-training and TET requirements mentioned in the detailed advertisement.
