Eligibility
Age Limit (As per Notification) Primary Teacher (Class 1–5 & Class 6–8) Minimum Age: 18 Years Secondary & Higher Secondary Teacher Minimum Age: 21 Years Maximum Age Category Maximum Age UR Male 37 Years UR Female 40 Years BC / EBC 40 Years SC / ST 42 Years Age relaxation is applicable according to Bihar Government recruitment rules. Primary Teacher (Class 1–5) Candidates should possess any one of the following: Bachelor's Degree with B.Ed. Graduation with Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) 10+2 with Diploma in Elementary Education 10+2 with B.El.Ed. Master's Degree with B.Ed.-M.Ed. Additionally, candidates must have qualified CTET Paper-I or BTET Paper-I. Middle School Teacher (Class 6–8) Candidates should possess: Graduation with D.El.Ed. OR Graduation/Post Graduation with B.Ed. OR BA B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed. Candidates should also have qualified the prescribed Teacher Eligibility Test. Secondary Teacher (Class 9–10) Graduate/Post Graduate in the relevant subject B.Ed. or equivalent qualification BA B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed. accepted STET qualified (Subject-wise) Secondary Teacher (Special) Graduate/Post Graduate in the relevant discipline B.Ed. STET qualified Subject-specific eligibility as per notification Higher Secondary Teacher (Class 11–12 / PGT) Candidates should possess: Master's Degree in the relevant subject B.Ed. OR Integrated BA B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed. OR B.Ed.-M.Ed. Candidates must also qualify STET Paper-II wherever applicable.
