Description
NLC India Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification has been issued by NLC India Limited (NLCIL) for 1,067 apprenticeship training slots under Advertisement No. L&DC/04/2026. The opportunity is open to eligible ITI candidates and graduates applying for the notified apprenticeship categories. The recruitment includes 700 ITI Trade Apprentice slots and 367 Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentice slots. Training opportunities are available at Neyveli and the Regional Office in Chennai, subject to the applicable trade or discipline. The apprenticeship programme offers candidates an opportunity to gain practical workplace experience and develop job-related skills with a Government of India enterprise. The training period is 12 months, and the monthly stipend ranges from ₹12,000 to ₹16,678, depending on the category. Eligible applicants from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry can submit their applications online. Eligibility
Applicants must satisfy the conditions specified in the official notification. 1. ITI Trade Apprentice Must have passed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognised institution. The ITI qualification must match the trade for which the candidate applies. Candidates must meet the applicable age and other eligibility requirements. 2. Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentice Must possess the prescribed regular full-time bachelor's degree in an eligible discipline. Eligible disciplines include specified areas such as Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Chemistry, Nursing and Pharmacy, subject to the official trade-wise requirements. Candidates must satisfy the applicable passing-year and other conditions stated in the notification. Domicile / Place of Origin Requirement The notification specifies eligibility for candidates hailing from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Applicants should check the official advertisement for the precise eligibility and supporting-document requirements. Minimum Age 18 years as on 31 October 2026, subject to the applicable notification conditions. Previous Apprenticeship Restriction Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the specified NAPS/NATS or PM Internship arrangements may be ineligible. Selection Process
Selection is based on merit according to marks obtained in the relevant qualifying examination, as specified in the notification.
