Eligibility

To apply for the SSC Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) & Havaldar Examination 2026, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements: Educational Qualification Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10th) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board on or before the prescribed cut-off date mentioned in the official notification. Nationality Applicants must be: A citizen of India, or A subject of Nepal, or A subject of Bhutan, or A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates belonging to categories other than Indian citizens must possess a valid certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. Age Limit MTS Posts: Generally 18–25 years (post-wise variations may apply). Havaldar (CBIC/CBN): Generally 18–27 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India and SSC rules.
