The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the RBI Assistant Mains Result 2026 for candidates who appeared in the Phase-II examination conducted on 07 June 2026. The result was announced on 24 September 2026 through the official RBI Opportunities portal. The recruitment drive is being conducted for 650 RBI Assistant vacancies. Candidates who appeared for the RBI Assistant Mains Examination can now check their qualifying status through the official result PDF. The RBI Assistant Mains Result 2026 contains the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process, the Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Candidates should carefully check the result PDF and search for their roll number. How to Check RBI Assistant Mains Result 2026 1. Visit the official RBI Opportunities website. 2. Open the Current Vacancies section. 3. Go to the Results section. 4. Find the link for RBI Assistant Mains Result 2026. 5. Open the result PDF. 6. Use the Ctrl + F option on a computer, or the PDF search option on mobile. 7. Enter your Roll Number in the search box. 8. If your roll number appears in the list, you have been shortlisted for the next stage. 9. Download and save the result PDF for future reference. The RBI Assistant selection process consists of the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Language Proficiency Test. The Mains examination is the merit-deciding stage, subject to the applicable recruitment rules and qualifying requirements.
Eligibility
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution with the required minimum percentage specified by RBI. For General, OBC and EWS candidates, the prescribed qualification requires a minimum of 50% marks. For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, the applicable requirement is as specified in the official notification. Candidates must also have knowledge of word processing on a computer. Candidates are required to meet the prescribed local language proficiency requirement for the office/state for which they have applied. Age Limit: 20 to 28 years as on 01 February 2026, subject to applicable age relaxation.
Selection Process
The RBI Assistant selection process consists of the following stages: 1. Preliminary Examination 2. Main Examination 3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT) Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Examination are eligible for the Main Examination. Candidates shortlisted after the Main Examination are required to appear for the Language Proficiency Test in the applicable local language. There is no interview in the RBI Assistant selection process.
