Description
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) is expected to publish the Exam City Information Slip for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 on its official website. Candidates who have successfully registered for the examination will be able to check their allotted examination city before the release of the admit card. The UPTET 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted on 02 July, 03 July, and 04 July 2026. The online application process concluded on 03 May 2026, and registered applicants can access their exam city details through the candidate login portal using their Registration Number, Enrollment Number, or Date of Birth. The exam city slip helps candidates identify their assigned examination location in advance, allowing them to make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements before the examination date.
Eligibility
Primary Level Teacher (Classes 1 to 5) Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree along with a recognized teacher training qualification such as BTC, D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed, or an equivalent program approved by NCTE. Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying course may also be eligible as per official rules. Upper Primary Level Teacher (Classes 6 to 8) Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree along with a recognized teacher education qualification such as B.Ed, BTC, B.El.Ed, D.El.Ed, or an equivalent program. Certain specialized education qualifications recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) may also be accepted. Final-year students of eligible training programs can apply subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of: Written Examination (UPTET 2026) Candidates qualifying the examination will receive the UPTET eligibility certificate according to the applicable rules and validity period prescribed by the authorities.
